I never received the HQ1-40 DIY LASER TOY. I was issued a tracking number For China Post and it didn't exist in there database so I was unable to track it then after a long time of waiting I am told it was delivered. That I cannot confirm because I never received. After some research I found out that this is a common scam. First they give you a non existent tracking number and then they stop responding to your messages then out of nowhere they tell you that it was delivered when in actuality you received absolutely nothing. I am sharing this experience with you because I really hope this information will help someone else avoid this scam

At first glance I thought, No way is this possible! After delivery and a quick assembly, I am shooting small dots all over the walls! Be careful and do not shoot at objects You wish to keep flawless. Very fun if used properly! Highly Recommend for adults with a brain only !

Very cool device (does not come with IR safety glasses BTW you will need some OD 5+ 900-1100nm IR protective laser safety goggles at a minimum before getting one of these, possibly a 2nd pair for showing the device to another person), output is definitely in the claimed range of 40W, and though this is the least powerful model available on this site it's not a "toy" by any stretch of the description, exceeding the class IV laser hazard threshold by 80x, capable of instantaneous ignition of wood <1 meter away, and burning various materials up to 3m as per my testing. Divergence is fairly rapid as there is no focusing lens in sacrifice of it's pocket sized design. The construction is of a sturdy 3d printed plastic that feels solid.

The device requires a small amount of assembly connecting the switch to the trigger and battery terminals to the main unit. Though I did apply some gorilla glue under the fan exhaust and the top of the hand grip to lock these parts together

Something not mentioned in the description is that the ON switch located at the traditional safety position of the hand grip has a 4 second long-press delay before the device becomes armed and is then operational by the trigger switch. (May save some headaches for someone thinking their unit was faulty ;) ) the voltage indicator lights and active cooling fan will turn on, and as claimed it does run whisper quiet. Same long-press to turn the device off.

Overall, cool gadget. Insanely dangerous. The next wasp that flies into my home is cooked.

The lasercannon looks and feels solid, and its is indeed quite powerfull. Im honestly both amazed and a little bit frightened by it.

Sliced a tuna can lid in half, bore hole in 1 inch wood plank, drilled hole through 2X4 wood in 7 to 11 seconds depending on battery voltage, punched a hole through a utility knife blade in about 2 seconds all done at 5 feet distance.

At 20 foot range drilled through a 1 inch plank wood in about 4 to 6 seconds, punch through a tuna can lid within 1 to 2 seconds

Way out to 90 feet penetrated through cardboard in 2 to 4 seconds.

The JDX3 - 130 is a well designed, engineered and manufactured product that has a professional feel to it.

I plan on purchasing a 500w unit.
